Sensinode Ltd. Joins TI’s Low-Power RF Developer Network
- April 14
San Jose, Calif. - April 14, 2008 - Sensinode Ltd., a pioneering/commercial supplier of solutions for IPv6 over wireless mesh networks, today announced it has joined the Texas Instruments (TI) Low-Power RF Developer Network. The technology innovation and licensing company, focused on enabling the Real-Time Enterprise, will present its solution on April 17, 2008 at the Texas Instruments booth (#1708) at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, Calif.
Leveraging TI's high-performance, IEEE 801.15.4-compatible RF system-on-chip, CC2430/31, Sensinode supports the growth of the emerging market for low-cost, small form factor NanoRouter USB and NanoSensor devices by providing customers with advanced design solutions for the WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) environment.
"Sensinode's goal is to create low-cost wireless sensor networks, enabling the Real-Time Enterprise by providing solutions via low power wireless sensor
networking. Our core technology and experience uniquely positions us to provide our partners/customers withreduced development times, lower costs and minimized risks associated with these complex products," said Endale Mitiku, VP Marketing/Sales, Sensinode Ltd. "We are proud to be teamed with TI as our radio chip provider in connection with Radiocrafts from Norway."
NanoRouter Ethernet and NanoSensor, Sensinode's acclaimed 6LoWPAN (IPv6 over low-power WPAN) technology solution for wireless sensor networks, utilizes TI's CC2430/31 RF SoC family in a low-cost reference design that allows deployment of applications like logistics, building automation via WSN-Ethernet integration and wireless sensors to multiple locations in a wide range of environments, including homes, schools and airport terminals. In addition to its NanoRouter USB, Sensinode has a successful history of engineering customer solutions, including software, digital and RF design services. Sensinode is also currently developing IP-based 6LoWPAN technology products based on the CC2430/31, such as: NanoRouter Ethernet and NanoSensor, to be used in smart buildings, health, energy, and logistics. The products are scheduled for deployment in Europe in early 2008 and the solution will simultaneously convert existing wired infrastructure for many
applications.
"TI is pleased to have Sensinode join our Low-Power RF Developer Network. Their focus on product innovation, coupled with their proven ability to customize solutions using TI's low-power RF devices, delivers a streamlined fit with TI's overall strategy" said Mark Grazier, TI worldwide third-party program manager.
